The salmon gave us the opportunity to have a highly developed art. As a child there was an abundance of salmon and in my father's childhood, he worked on salmon with his mother from the beginning of salmon season till the end of the season putting away enough for their important winter supply. The last few summers, I've noticed the decline in the salmon in the Skeena River, to where people have received little or no salmon at all for their family preserves. The years of over logging, fishing and the many developments have begun to depleted the return of the salmon. In this print the eagle, like many of us, dreams for the abundance of salmon again.
